You’ll see a lot of branding on my website, but rest assured — YES, I still shoot grads and I absolutely LOVE it!!

Grads are so exciting to shoot, they’re all dressed up, they’re happy, they want to show off the digs and we can be so creative!

Here’s a few helpful tips for a smooth Grad shoot:

Shoot on a different day: Lots of my grads choose to do their shoot either before or right after graduation day. This is a great idea because we can pick the best time of day for the best light, everyone is calmer without worrying about timing and if you do it right after, you don’t have to worry so much about getting your outfit dirty!

Invest in professional hair and make-up: Professional hair and make-up really polish the look for grads! This milestone is a big one for our grads and feeling like a million bucks with hair and make-up only adds to the photos you’re investing in.

Let Them: Pretty photos in a park are great and all, but this is a celebration of a big accomplishment and a send off into the next phase! I believe the setting and vibe should match that of the graduate. Let them decide the look, whether it’s urban, on a farm, with a car, or in a place that brings them joy– that’s where the photos should be!
